How We Chose The Best Neighborhoods

In order to find the best neighborhoods in Orlando, we used a combination of qualitative and quantitative research techniques. We conducted an extensive review of existing literature on neighborhood quality metrics and compiled data from more than 25 sources to identify key indicators that reflect the overall atmosphere, amenities and experience unique to each area.

We then interviewed local residents, business owners, and city officials to get a better understanding of the nuances that make each neighborhood unique. Through these conversations, we were able to gain insight into what amenities and experiences make Orlando neighborhoods stand out from one another. We used this information to create a comprehensive set of criteria for our analysis.

Our criteria included metrics such as safety, walkability, access to public transportation and parks, diversity of restaurants and businesses, quality of schools and universities, economic prosperity, cost of living, average income level and other factors that contribute to the overall atmosphere in the community. We also looked at the availability of housing options ranging from single family homes to condos or apartments; recreational activities such as golfing or tennis; special attractions such as theme parks; job opportunities; and other socioeconomic factors.

From there, we developed detailed profiles for each top neighborhood in order to identify what sets it apart from others in the city – be it historical character, unique cultural offerings or proximity to popular destinations. Ultimately, our research aims to provide residents and visitors with a comprehensive overview of exactly what makes each area special so they can make informed decisions when choosing where to live or visit.
