Olympia High School in Orlando, FL has a long and proud history. The school was founded in 1951 as a segregated African-American high school with just over 40 students. Through the dedication of staff and students, the school quickly grew to around 600 students by 1956. As desegregation laws changed in Florida, Olympia became an integrated secondary education institution and continued to grow over the years.

In 1976, Olympia High School moved from their original location on Division Avenue to its current location on Conroy Road, where it remains today. During this time period the student population increased from almost 1,000 to more than 2,800 by 1981.
