College Park Middle School, located in Orlando FL, has been serving the community since 1956. Founded by prominent Orlando citizens, College Park was one of the first middle schools to be built in Orange County and is part of the Orange County Public Schools district.
The school initially opened with just 8 classrooms and around 200 students. It has since grown exponentially to accommodate its current population of 1,400 students across 40 classrooms spread out over 3 buildings.
Throughout its history, College Park Middle School has had an emphasis on technology and science education as well as providing a safe environment for learning. In 1997 it received recognition from the state of Florida as a “Model Science School” for its use of cutting edge teaching techniques and modern equipment.
